Criminal including serious and historical sexual offences, murder, ‘unlawful act’ manslaughter, blackmail, drug production, importation and supply, mortgage fraud, large-scale benefit fraud, money laundering, armed robbery, football-related violence, other serious violent offences including attempted murder and inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent, and serious driving offences including causing death by dangerous driving. Simeon has a strong practice in publicly funded work, mainly representing privately funded clients accused of motoring offences. In addition, Simeon covers Local authority prosecutions and Prison Law including parole hearings and adjudications. EXPERIENCE Simeon provides lectures to firms of solicitors on subjects including disclosure, proceeds of crime and sentencing. He has taught advocacy on the Bar Vocational Course and to pupils and new practitioners on the Northern Circuit. PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIPS Simeon is a member of the Criminal Bar Association, the Administrative Law Bar Association, and recently attended the inaugural meeting of the Northern Administrative Law Association. |
