Nicola Brown is a barrister who practices in all areas of personal injury, clinical negligence and professional negligence. EXPERIENCE Nicola Brown joined Young Street Chambers as pupil to Christopher Limb. Nicola Brown specialises in personal injury and professional negligence work, with a particular emphasis on clinical negligence. She has experience of road traffic accidents, employers’ liability, public liability and occupiers’ liability. Nicola has represented relatives of the deceased at coroners’ inquests and in subsequent fatal accidents cases. She has a keen interest in all aspects of industrial disease litigation. She is also developing a practice in liability pursuant to the Animals Act 1971, particularly equestrian injuries. She has experience of professional negligence, including solicitors’ negligence cases. In her costs practice Nicola undertakes work for both claimants and defendants including advising in writing and in conference, attending detailed assessment hearings and attending costs appeals. Having taught on both the Legal Practice Course and the Bar Vocational Course, Nicola has extensive experience of lecturing and is happy to arrange in-house CPD training on any aspect of Personal Injury and Professional Negligence.
