Ahmed Nadim - Aaron Strorey. Not Guilty of drive by shooting

On the 26^th of February, 2010 Aaron Strorey, represented by Ahmed Nadim, was found not guilty of an involvement in a conspiracy to murder after a trial lasting 5 weeks at the Crown Court sitting in Sheffield. The allegation arose from a gangland type ‘drive by’ shooting in which one person died and two others were seriously wounded.

Ahmed Nadim defending Patel - custodial sentence avoided

Ahmed Nadim defended Imran Mohamed Haji Patel at Leicester Crown Court. Patel and another businessman admitted to fradulent trading and money laundering. Mr Patel avoided a custodial sentence in this substantial fraud case, although the co-accused was given a prsion sentence. In mitigation, the court heard the defendants initially ran their businesses legitimately before becoming embroiled in the scam at the behest of others. Ahmed Nadim, for Patel, said his client was recruited for money-laundering purposes, with the offer of money but made no profit. Read more

Benjamin Myers representing Ganiyu Conteh

Ganiyu Conteh was one of six men standing trial for conspiracy to rape at Preston Crown Court. He denied the allegation and was represented by Benjamin Myers. However, in the words of the trial judge, His Honour Judge Brown, the complainant’s internet chat messages left her credibility ’shot to pieces’ and in the light of these messages, the prosecution offered no evidence against all six defendants and verdicts of not guilty were entered. Ahmed Nadim defending Kevin Shutt - intercepting chat accounts

Ahmed Nadim defended Kevin Shutt in Bradford Crown Court last week. Mr Nadim successfully prevented a charge of grooming as there was no encouragement for the victims to have a meeting with Shutt for a sexual purpose. Shutt has been jailed for 15 months for three offences of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child. He committed the crimes by hacking into internet chat accounts. Read more

Simeon Evans & Ed Moss Driving Offences and Assault on Police Officers

A company director and his wife, charged with driving offences and assaults on police officers were acquitted of all charges before Nottingham Magistrates Court having been represented by Simeon Evans and Edward Moss. Two police officers were cross-examined at length by counsel and having heard the case the District Judge commented that the account given by the accused was more likely to be true than the account of the officers. Mr and Mrs Skeldon had spent Christmas day 2008 in police cells and Mrs Skeldon was so traumatised by events that she had spent most of the year between the alleged incident and the trial abroad.
