Richard Dawson successfully defended a man charged with allegations of historic sexual misconduct, as against his half-sister. Unusually he was only 13 years old and she was only 7 years old during the period of time the allegations stemmed from. The jury found him not guilty of attempting to rape her and repeatedly indecently assaulting her.

David James defends Terence Read who is sentenced to a Community Order for failing to notify a change in circumstances regarding his benefit claim. Mr Read had legitimately claimed Mobility and Care allowance due to his arthritic condition. After a successful hip replacement operation Mr. Read’s mobility increased and the case gained notoriety when Mr. Read was filmed by the DWP having organised and performed at 1940’s style dance events.
