Crime Team
The Criminal Team has in excess of 20 members covering all aspects of criminal work, both prosecution and defence, at all levels. We believe that the depth of both experience and specialism in our team ensures that we have the capacity to meet the requirements of every client.
Senior members of the team regularly undetake leading briefs in Very High Cost Cases which invariably relate to complex allegations of oganised crime involving money laundering, murder, drugs and serious fraud.
The team also has a substantial amount of collective experience in both the prosecution and defence of cases alleging serious sexual misconduct and violence; particularly involving child and vulnerable complainants.
Other areas of particular specialism include Health and Safety prosecutions, Customs and Excise prosecutions and the defence of serious road traffic offences on behalf of insurers.
The criminal team actively contributes to a general Chambers commitment to a specialist advice and advocacy service. The team is founded upon a dedication to the highest possible professional standards and applies those standards attentively in the pursuit of a legal service that is as friendly as it is efficient.
Young Street is a progressive set of Chambers and utilises an efficient Clerking team, in harmony with the latest information technology, to provide a first class service to every client. The criminal team employs a modern business approach to all instructions received, recognising the importance of regular communication with clients as their cases progress.
Chambers has a number of well-equipped conference rooms that allow wireless connectivity to the internet and can facilitate meetings with clients in a friendly, comfortable and secure environment; although the criminal team also recognise the desirability of meeting at the offices of those by whom they are instructed.
