Ahmed Nadim defended Imran Mohamed Haji Patel at Leicester Crown Court. Patel and another businessman admitted to fradulent trading and money laundering. Mr Patel avoided a custodial sentence in this substantial fraud case, although the co-accused was given a prsion sentence. In mitigation, the court heard the defendants initially ran their businesses legitimately before becoming embroiled in the scam at the behest of others.
