Domestic abuse
Our barristers act in proceedings for restrictive orders such as non-molestation orders, occupationorders and orders made pursuant to the Protection from Harassment Act 1997 both as discrete applications and as part of ongoing private law proceedings.
This is often a highly sensitive and emotionally charged area and counsel is often required to demonstrate a sympathetic and empathic approach while being able to offer informed and realistic advice. We also act in proceedings relating to alleged breaches of such orders and all aspects of committal proceedings.
Our barristers are always willing to provide advice or training in this area of law.
