A company director and his wife, charged with driving offences and assaults on police officers were acquitted of all charges before Nottingham Magistrates Court having been represented by Simeon Evans and Edward Moss. Two police officers were cross-examined at length by counsel and having heard the case the District Judge commented that the account given by the accused was more likely to be true than the account of the officers. Mr and Mrs Skeldon had spent Christmas day 2008 in police cells and Mrs Skeldon was so traumatised by events that she had spent most of the year between the alleged incident and the trial abroad.
