Under “Contact Us” there is now a section in the drop-down menu called “Testimonials, Feedback and Client Care”. As the title suggests, this area of the site contains information about the service we offer to our clients and what they think of it. Margaret McDonald has been nominated for the Law Teacher of the Year Award 2010. There are 6 nominees and the winner will be announced on 29 January 2010. The Law Teacher of the Year (also known as LTOTY) is sponsored by Oxford University Press (OUP) in association with UKCLE. The award is designed to recognise the vital role that teachers play in the education of tomorrow’s lawyers, and to reward achievement in teaching. Benjamin Myers defended a man on firearms charges at Liverpool Crown Court recently. The case arose from police investigations into gang related shootings in Manchester. The defendant had led the police to a hidden machine gun. The prosectution alleged that he had been the person who had hidden the gun, but the defendant said that others had hidden it and he had only helped in its recovery. He was found not guilty by jury.
